FREE Walk-In HIV Screening at Health Services of North Texas

HIV Screening is quick and easy and should not be put off. Early detection is key to living a healthy life and putting an end to the spread of HIV. HSNT is making it easy for you to know your HIV status with FREE, walk-in HIV screening on Friday mornings.

Health Services of North Texas invites you to come in for your FREE, CONFIDENTIAL HIV screening on Friday mornings in Denton or Plano from 8:00 am to 11:00 am.

RSVP ANONYMOUSLY

By privately RSVP’ing we can ensure we have the screening test ready for your arrival.  No personal information is collected with this RSVP.

What To Expect

We are so glad that you’ve chose to know your status and get tested!

When you come into the health center let the front desk team member know that you are here for your FREE screening test. An LVN will bring you back into an exam room for privacy. At that time the nurse will use a finger stick rapid test that will collect a tiny amount of blood.

The test will take about 15 minutes to process.

Our Locations

Walk-In HIV Testing is available at both locations below every Friday from 8 am to 11 am.

Frequently Asked Questions

You will get the results of your HIV Screening test within about 15 minutes.

If your finger stick rapid test comes back positive, an HSNT Team member will work with you to schedule your follow-up appointment for a full panel lab workup and meeting with a provider. You may also meet with one of HSNT’s Medical Case Managers. It is important that you get into care right away. The HSNT Team will work with you to find the best HIV care provider for your needs.

At this time, we will ask you to complete paperwork so that we can provide additional assistance.

All patients must be at least 16 years or older to come in for testing without parental consent.

At Health Services of North Texas, we believe that financial constraints should not be a barrier to getting into care. While we accept most major medical insurance, we also offer a sliding fee scale based on income and have Ryan White grant funding to assist in covering the cost of care for those who qualify. Based on your income and family size, your visit and labs could be as little as $35 with the price increasing based on your income. The most important thing is that you get into care and get treatment started right away.
